About the Project
ProtectTransYouth.ca is a collaborative digital mural created as part of a reflection on queer memory, political grief, and trans futures. It reimagines a mural from the 2016 Provincial GSA Conference, now revived as a communal space for visual storytelling and care.
Each hexagon in the mural represents a person, a message, or a memory. The project centers transgender and non-binary youth whose voices are often erased or ignored, transforming a once-empty chair into a powerful, visible presence.
Submissions are open to anyone who wants to express solidarity, share art, or leave a message of hope. Together, we are protecting trans youth, one story at a time.
